Dirt Dwelling
We put Cats Cradle in a Marina in Havre de Grace on Jun 30th and went to Mom's place for a month. Had a great time with family, did some projects for Mom and a bunch of other things too. It was an eventful month, we celebrated Mom's 80th birthday, went to Pam & Jim's campsite and went to an Amish auction nearby. You wouldn't believe the stuff that gets auctioned! We also had a scare a few weeks ago. One of the screens on Mom's patio came loose one night and Gilligan along with Mitzi (mom's cat) got out! Mitzi stayed close by but Gilligan wandered away. We spent that entire night and all the next day in an all-out search of the neighborhood. He had never been out of the house on our previous visits and we did not know if he could find his way back. He finally found his way back about 28 hours later. He was so scared we had a hard time coaxing him inside the house. He is much better now. We also took him to the vet because he has been losing weight the past several months. Turns out the boy has a hyperthyroid and is now on medication. His thyroid levels are now normal and he is starting to gain weight. Scupper however is now on a weight reduction diet, neither of them are very happy with their respective diets. We are heading back to Cats Cradle today and should be underway again tomorrow.
